Far from being supernatural magic, or a magician's sleight-of-hand, the MAGIK Method is the culmination of five evidence-based techniques for improving your quality of life, based on a thorough review of behavioral research including over 120 academic papers. MAGIK stands for Mindfulness, Affirmation, Gratitude, Intention, Kudos. Each card or 'tab' you will play in HappyTabs corresponds to one of these five categories of psychological practice. Affirmation

Affirmations are positive statements that you say or write about yourself. They can help you to shift negative self-talk into more positive and empowering language. Affirmations have been shown to improve self-esteem, reduce stress, and increase motivation.

Gratitude is the practice of focusing on the good things in your life and being thankful for them. Gratitude has been shown to improve mood, increase happiness, and reduce symptoms of depression.

Intention

Setting intentions is the practice of coming up with goals or aspirations for yourself. It helps you to focus on what is important to you and to take actions toward achieving your objectives. Intention setting has been shown to increase motivation and self-efficacy.

Kudos

Kudos is the practice of recognizing and celebrating the positive qualities of others. It involves identifying positive traits in others and acknowledging them. Kudos has been shown to increase positive emotions, improve relationships, and reduce stress.
